How do I cancel my order?

If you wish to cancel your order please call us on 020 8920 4185 or email us at prior to shipment and we will issue you with a full refund.

How/ when will my order be refunded if I cancel my order before the goods have been dispatched?

If you decide to cancel your order before the goods have been dispatched you will be refunded onto the same payment card or paypal within 3 working days.

What is your returns procedure?

To exercise your right of cancellation, you must within 14 working days of receiving the goods send an email to stating your invoice number and that you wish to cancel your order. You may only do so providing the goods have not been fitted on modified in any way, that they are returned with their original packaging and the goods are in a resalable condition.

Where should I return the goods?

If you would like to return the goods back to the store, you must arrange for the goods to be returned at your cost and so that they are not damaged in transit to:

Within 7 working days of informing us of your cancellation.

Upon receipt of the goods, we will refund or re-credit you within 30 days for any sum that has been paid by you or debited from your credit cards for the goods only, not for the packaging and shipping costs as we cannot reclaim these, only after the after the cancelled items have been received in a good condition by us.

What is the time limit for returning the goods?

You must return the goods within 14 working days of informing us of your cancellation.

Can I exchange all or part of my order?

We are happy to exchange any products bought directly through The Light Bulb Shop website as long as they are returned to us in their original packaging and not damaged. We are unable to offer an exchange when a special product which is not on our website has been ordered in especially for the customer in which case a re-stocking charge may apply.

What if my goods are delivered damaged?

If the goods are damaged on receipt please contact us immediately and we will then take the appropriate action to provide a resolution to you.

How can I claim my warranty?

All goods supplied by the Electric Wholesaler are warranted free from defects for 3 months from the date of supply (unless otherwise stated). This warranty does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

This warranty does not apply to any defect in the goods arising from fair wear and tear, wilful damage, accident, negligence by you or any third party, use otherwise than as recommended by us or the manufacturer, failure to follow these instructions, or any alteration or repair carried out without the Supplier's approval.

You must ensure that any installation of any product that requires installation is carried out by a qualified electrician or competent person as per the local building regulations any health safety regulations or other national regulations that are applicable to your home or place or work. Failure to follow this will invalidate your warranty and you may be in breach of applicable regulations.

If the goods supplied to you develop a defect while under warranty or you have any other complaint about the goods, you should notify Electrical Supplier in writing via within 7 days of the date you discovered the damage, defect or complaint. Initially you will be responsible for returning the goods to us at your own cost, your return will be inspected upon delivery to the supplier and providing the goods have been returned as required you may be issued with a refund for the carriage costs incurred.
